my first handknit sweater

So, I knitted my first sweater, and I am looking forward to wearing it for years to come. It feels so good to be able to make something wearable! There's something that feels ''empowering'' about wearing something that you know inside-out about. It's not just a 'clothing item' anymore, it's more like a comforting friend!

This sweater is a combination of knitting and purling, all done by hand from the top down. This cozy design can be personalized with ease for a perfect fit. 

The yarn colours I chose are inspired by the Irish landscape.

The pattern comes from Florence Miller. I made some minor adjustments to it to fit my preferences, but the overall idea comes from her; I am so so grateful that she offers such a helpful and detailed tutorial - for free!
